In order to perform rescues from machines at the Operations Level, additional training will be required. At this level of training, you will be taking initial actions that will help to stabilize the incident until rescuers trained to a higher level of response arrive on scene. This training program is designed to provide you with the knowledge required to respond to a Machinery Rescue at the Awareness Level, as described by National Fire Protection Association Standard 1670, Operations and Training for Technical Search and Rescue Incidents (2009 Edition). This will render your certificate null and void. If you ask someone else to go through the program for you, you will not learn the information you will need to ensure the health and safety of Emergency Response Team members. In addition, each participant must complete the training on an individual basis. The participant may take the quiz as many times as necessary in order to reach the 80% score. CertificationĬertificates of completion may be printed by the participant once a score of 80% or greater is achieved. This includes public and private sector response personnel who may be the first on the scene of a machinery rescue.
